David Reid Homes Perth wins ‘Best New Builder’ Award

Master Builders’ Director, Michael McLean, congratulated the outstanding team at David Reid
Homes for winning this year’s Best New Builder award.
“To qualify for the Best New Builder award, you must be a registered builder for five years or less,
and display qualities befitting a Master Builder which include quality workmanship, attention to
detail, pride in the job, excellent safety standards, be innovative and complete projects on time and
on budget.”

Perth, to the public through our housing awards,” Mr McLean said.
“This is an important award for our industry as it demonstrates to the public the quality of young
builders coming through the ranks.”
The Master Builders-Bankwest Housing Excellence Awards are unique in that they recognise the best
builders based exclusively on their construction excellence and quality of workmanship. Each year a
team of experienced building judges inspect nominations in a variety of categories which include
individually designed contract homes, display homes, renovations and transportable homes.
The awards were presented at a gala function at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre on 6 March
attended by a crowd of over 680 builders, support staff, sponsors and guests.
There was a record number of over 320 metropolitan entries in 2010 received this year, which
reflects a strong recovery in the residential construction market across the state.
David Reid Homes and other award-winning homes will represent WA at the national Master
Builders Housing and Construction Awards in Canberra on 19 November 2010.
