DRH Launch into WA Market
Western Australian First for National Award-winner It is an extraordinary home with its own extensive wine cellar, two storeys plus basement and its own private elevator and it is the very first Western Australian offering from National builder David Reid Homes. The Swanbourne home was custom designed and built for successful Perth Financial Advisor, Stephen Ramsay, who was looking to build an exceptional home in an area where exceptional homes are the norm.I wanted this home to have a truly up-market finish says Ramsay. I wanted it to be a home that when you walked in, you were immediately struck by the quality and level of finish. I think David Reid Homes have achieved that. David Reid Homes are known internationally as builders of truly distinct homes with a level of innovation and quality workmanship that saw them win a prestigious MBA National Showhome of the Year along with a list of others. As boutique builders, David Reid Homes take on only a small number of projects each year, allowing for a higher level of supervision and a faster turn-around time. This home was completed in just over 13 months. As an experienced Property Developer with developments in Queensland, Victoria and WA, Stephen Ramsay, was realistic about the building process, yet was impressed with the flexibility of David Reid Homes. As with any build, there were changes made along the way and Wayne (Robins, Construction Manager) was always accommodating. Any changes I suggested were taken on board and carried out without query. The resulting home is a superb example of how David Reid Homes is raising the standard in unique architectural design and quality craftsmanship. It features two quite separate living areas and a 2000-bottle wine cellar complete with a special wine-tasting area. Timber has been used as a feature throughout the home with cedar window frames and huge cedar doors that open up to a large balcony entertainment area with cedar lined ceiling overlooking the grass tennis courts opposite. The ensuite features hand-cut black and white marble strips that line the freestanding bath to create a geometric effect. The upstairs dining, kitchen and family rooms are in an open plan arrangement with a massive cathedral ceiling, creating space and plenty of natural light. If this home is any indication of how David Reid Homes plans to enter the WA market, then their entrance will no doubt create a stylish and innovative first impression not quickly forgotten. David Reid Homes first WA showhome is due for completion in December.Contact Chris Pham on 0412 798 997 or chrispham@davidreidhomes.com
