The company has been running for over 60 years now and has come to be seen as a tasteful and elegant solution to the demands of contemporary living; due to their partnerships with world-famous architects.
The Australian branch is a family-owned business and has an extensive network of distributors, which allows them to service the entire country! They have showrooms in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Launceston, Newcastle, and Wagga Wagga.
We paired with this company many years ago, in order to bring high quality, beautiful appliances to all of the homes we build.

Drip Coffee Machine
The Drip Coffee Machine is one of Smeg’s latest releases, in collaboration with Italian Architects Deepdesign.
This Retro style Coffee Machine is currently available in 7 colours; black, panna (cream), red, pastel blue, pastel green, white and stainless steel.
Smeg x Disney
In September, Smeg released a collaboration with Disney, to celebrate 70 years of Smeg and 90 years of Disney and their love of bringing families together, specifically through food and entertaining! The 50’s style retro Fridge features a Mickey Mouse design on the front!

The Collection, ‘Sicily is my love’ launched in 2017, in collaboration with Dolce and Gabbana.

There are lots of reasons that people want to build a luxury home. Some would say that it goes without even considering that everyone wants to live in a luxury home. So why don’t people do it more often?
Often when people are building their first homes, they are on a fairly tight budget. This doesn’t mean that they can’t have luxury homes. The interesting thing about building a first home is that many people assume that they will have to build a project or ‘cookie-cutter’ home from one of the mass-producing builders. We’re not going to name them here but you know the ones!
They are easily identified because they will give you a list of plans and layouts which look great in the booklet, but you’re quite limited to what they have and they’ll have a price against each one which may look very attractive.
Then you sit down with the salesperson and say, “I want to build this house on my block of land.”
You show them the map and photographs of the block that you are so proud of and the salesperson says, “Yes of course we can build on that.”
They don’t tell you that because your building site is fifty metres from the boundary or because you have a sloping block your building costs will be much higher.
They don’t tell you that the fittings and accessories in the display home are top of the line… That they will cost you thousands of dollars extra and way above the prices that are shown in the catalogue.
They don’t tell you that it may be difficult to get subcontractors into your area, or that it will cost more to get them there because your block may be further out than where they normally build.
That is of course unless you ask about all of these things.
Many people who aren’t experienced in buying or building homes don’t know the correct questions to ask to get the full picture.
You may be left with a false impression that you are going to get what appears to be a luxury home for a bargain price; that is until you are further down the track.
